Director, Inkling LLP
Susie Diamond co-founded Inkling, a building physics consultancy in 2011. Prior to that she studied physics at university, and worked for Fulcrum Consulting and then Mott MacDonald running building simulation teams. Her core building physics skills are in using dynamic thermal simulation software to accurately simulate buildings to predict their energy and thermal performance in operation. She deploys these skills creatively and intelligently to enable more informed design decisions which ultimately contribute to better buildings. Susie is continuously absorbing more learning about designing better buildings. She was vice-chair of the CIBSE resilient cities group for 3 years, and was a lead author on CIBSE TM59 Design methodology for the assessment of overheating risk in homes published in 2017 and also of the Good Homes Alliance early stage overheating risk guidance and tool published this year. She was a judge for the CIBSE Building Performance awards three years running.
