Susie co-founded Inkling, a building physics consultancy in 2011. Prior to that she studied physics at university, and worked for Fulcrum Consulting and then Mott MacDonald running building simulation teams. Her core skills are in using dynamic thermal simulation tools to predict the energy and thermal performance of buildings. She deploys these skills creatively and intelligently to enable more informed design decisions and better buildings. Susie has become an expert in the field of predicting overheating in homes; she was a lead author on CIBSE TM59 Design methodology for the assessment of overheating risk in homes, and the simpler GHA tool published in 2019, and regularly speaks on the topic. Inkling is Building Physics consultancy working to help make buildings more comfortable and energy/carbon efficient (www.inklingllp.com). Our USP is our communication skills; we work hard to collaborate with our clients, listening to what they want to achieve within all the constraints of planning, legislation and budget.
