Director, Development Consultancy, PRP
Marylis is a Director within the Development Consultancy team at PRP. Her expertise includes developing sustainability strategies and advising on environmental and passive design techniques on projects using an analytical evidence-based approach. Her role involves both technical delivery and project management and her experience includes a number of high-profile research projects. These include the Zero Carbon Compendium for the Zero Carbon Hub, the Business Case for Green Buildings for the World Green Building Council, the Optimising Thermal Efficiency in Existing Housing research project for the Energy Technologies Institute, the Red Lodge Climate Change Adaptation Study for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and more recently, leading research into Integrated City Design as part of the Innovate UK-funded THETTIS (Thamesmead Health, Energy, Transport and Telecommunications Integration Study) project. Her current focus, in addition to innovation, sustainability and environmental design, is on designing for health and wellbeing in the built environment, and she has recently been working closely with the UKGBC on their research and advocacy efforts in the field of health and wellbeing, and was the chair of the metrics workstream for the Health and Wellbeing in Homes report.
