Research Associate, Loughborough University, Loughborough University
Dr Eleonora Brembilla is a Research Associate at Loughborough University. Her current project focuses on the creation of new standard climate files for advanced daylight simulation and it is funded by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). Eleonora obtained her PhD from Loughborough University, where she investigated the ‘Applicability of Climate-Based Daylight Modelling’, an award-winning work that received international attention after it challenged the daylight metrics suggested by some of the most common building energy rating systems. As part of her doctoral programme, Eleonora collaborated with the Arup Lighting Team in London and Sheffield. Prior to her PhD, she completed an MSc in Building Engineering/Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
