Dr Esfand Burman
Dr Esfand Burman is a lecturer in building performance at UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering. He has been involved in evaluating energy performance and indoor environmental quality of several buildings in key sectors including offices, schools, hospitals and apartment blocks in the past few years. This research was instigated by the EPSRC funded project Total Operational Performance of Low Carbon Buildings in China and the UK (‘TOP’). Esfand is a Chartered Engineer and registered Low Carbon Consultant with CIBSE, and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers. His professional and academic interests include building services design, building performance evaluations, energy performance simulations, and CFD analysis.
