Dr Chris Iddon
Chair of the CIBSE Natural Ventilation Group, CIBSE
Chris is the current Chair of the CIBSE Natural Ventilation Special Interest Group. After working in design management for several major contractors, Chris studied at Loughborough University and developed an interest in natural and low energy ventilation strategies and a recognition of the importance of good air quality in the provision of a holistic design solution. He spent several years developing control strategies for natural ventilation solutions via automatic window modulation at SE Controls and currently maintains his interest in the field via his voluntary activities for CIBSE. This has recently included co-authoring of the CIBSE Covid Ventilation and air cleaning technologies guidance, along with providing advice to SAGE Energy Modelling Group and taking on a fellowship at Nottingham University as part of the AIRBODS (Airborne Infection Reduction through Building Operation and Design for SARS-CoV-2) research group.
