
Clive Beggs
Clive Beggs is both a physiologist and a mechanical engineer who specializes in interdisciplinary translational research and the interpreting clinical and biological systems. As such he has worked extensively with clinical teams around the world on projects in: the transmission of infectious diseases; biophysics; neurovascular physiology; and sport science. Prior to entering academia he was a building services design engineer.
He is now Emeritus Professor of Applied Physiology (2015-) at Leeds Beckett University, but prior to that he was Professor of Medical Engineering at the University of Bradford (2005-2015) and a senior lecturer at the University of Leeds (1996-2005). He was also adjunct Professor of Neurology at the University at Buffalo in the USA (2013-2017).
