Kate van Someren

Katharine has a passion for research and project management, working with end users and estate teams to design and deliver a better environment to occupy.  Presently in the final year and write up phase of her Engineering doctorate she has worked with the University of Reading’s sustainability team to reduce carbon emissions through in use performance evaluation.  Her background is in the planning and development of commercial buildings using her surveying and physics education in construction and refurbishment projects.  Having predominantly worked client side at SEGRO plc, Cluttons for the Crown Estate Regent’s Park and other commercial portfolios and for an entrepreneurial developer in Guernsey, she achieved chartership in 2010 with the RICS and is an APC assessor supporting candidates through the RICS selection process.
