Alice is in the final stages of completing her Engineering Doctorate at the University of Reading, and has recently joined SSE Business Energy as a Product Developer. Her doctoral research focuses on the impact which energy system models have in policy making, with a particular interest in the representation of smart technologies. Alongside her Engineering Doctorate, Alice worked part time supporting SSE Airtricity’s participation in a domestic demand side response demonstration project in Ireland, ‘RealValue’, which is funded by Horizon2020. Alice has worked in Grenada with the UNFCCC, where she provided modelling support to the Government of Haiti to assist with producing their COP21 submission. Alice has a background in energy policy, an area she worked in as part of SSE’s corporate policy team for 2 years prior to beginning her Doctorate.
