Energy Performance Modelling in Homes: How Much Detail is Enough?

14 Nov 2024
Synergy Theatre
Energy Performance , Homes for the future
To understand the performance of homes and inform their design, retrofit and operation, how much detail do we need? How much do detailed inputs and complex models help, compared to other approaches such as scenario testing or "safe" assumptions? Should we shift our focus to new metrics, to take better advantage of new in-situ testing techniques? This session will explore these questions and present recent approaches developed by a range of practitioners in new build and retrofit.
