The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) is a single voice, representing a growing and dynamic building controls and BEMS sector in the UK. The BCIA has a number of key functions that support its members and the wider industry alike, such as offering specialist training courses for the controls sector. Furthermore, the BCIA lobbies and liaises with the government and provides unique market trends and sales data for members. Formed in 2004, the Association is also part of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA).

The BPF represents the commercial real estate sector – an industry with a market value of £1,662bn which contributed more than £94bn to the economy in 2014. We promote the interests of those with a stake in the UK built environment, and our membership comprises a broad range of owners, managers and developers of real estate as well as those who support them. The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), formed in 1901, is the UK’s largest trade association representing electrical, electrotechnical and other engineering contractors, at regional, national and European level. ECA member-companies are rigorously assessed before membership is approved. Member firms have a combined turnover in excess of £6 billion annually. These firms carry out design and installation activity across domestic and commercial sectors. This ranges from power and lighting to data communications, energy efficiency and renewables, as well as the design and installation of cutting-edge building control technologies. The ECA’s 2,800 members range from SME electrical firms to nationwide engineering contractors and building services firms that employ thousands of professionals on major UK projects. ECA members also support over 5,000 apprentices annually.

The Institute of Refrigeration is the leading professional institute for individuals who work with refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumping across all applications and functions.

The IOR is a member of the International Institute of Refrigeration, recognised as an affiliate of the Engineering Council and represents members in 45 different countries.

Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management IHEEM is a Professional Engineering Institute, and is the UK’s largest specialist institute for the Healthcare Estates Sector. The Institute promotes excellence in Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management and keeps members and industry professionals up to date with developing technology and changing regulations. IHEEM is a membership organisation and offers a variety of membership packages for individuals and affiliates such as NHS Trusts, University and Companies working within the sector.
