Susie Diamond

Founding Partner

Susie co-founded Inkling, a building physics consultancy in 2011. Prior to that she studied physics at university, and worked for Fulcrum Consulting and then Mott MacDonald running building simulation teams.  Her core building physics skills are in using dynamic thermal simulation software to accurately simulate buildings to predict their energy and thermal performance in operation. She deploys these skills creatively and intelligently to enable more informed design decisions which ultimately contribute to better buildings.

Susie is continuously absorbing more learning about designing better buildings. She is vice-chair of the CIBSE resilient cities group and was a lead author on the recently published CIBSE TM59 Design methodology for the assessment of overheating risk in homes. She was a judge for the CIBSE Building Performance awards three years running.

Inkling is Building Physics consultancy working to help make buildings more comfortable and energy/carbon efficient ( Our USP is our communication skills; we work hard to collaborate with our clients, listening to what they want to achieve within all the constraints of planning, legislation, and budget.
