Peter Fordham

Electrical Engineering Design Manager

Peter has been interested in lighting for as long as he can remember, getting involved in lighting for bands and shows through school and at Imperial College, from where he also managed to graduate with a degree in electrical and electronic engineering.  Peter’s first job was as Deputy Chief Electrician in a West End theatre, working on lighting for shows from Our Town to Tommy.

Following 11 years at the Royal Shakespeare Company as Engineering Manager, Peter moved to Morgan Sindall as an electrical designer, where he developed his skills in lighting design, completing the LET Diploma in Light and Lighting and becoming the company’s Lighting Specialist.  Last year he moved to Sainsbury’s as Electrical Engineering Design Manager, responsible for overseeing the electrical design requirements for the company – in particular, the rollout of LED lighting across the estate.

Peter is a Chartered Electrical Engineer, and a Member of the Society of Light and Lighting, and the Institution of Engineering Technology.
