Dr Robyn Pender

Dr Robyn Pender works for Historic England’s Building Conservation and Research Team, advising principally on building performance. A physicist, she also studied wall-painting conservation at the Courtauld Institute, where her PhD research looked at how environmental conditions influence moisture movement in stone. After studying climate-change impacts for UCL’s Bartlett Graduate School, Robyn joined English Heritage/Historic England to work on their “Practical Building Conservation” books, and is principle editor of the Building Environment volume.
