Dr Neil Sturrock

CIBSE Heritage Group and former Senior Lecturer in Building Energy Studies, Liverpool John Moores University

Dr Neil Sturrock has been Chairman of the CIBSE Heritage Group since 2011 and a member of CIBSE/IHVE since 1964. He was a member of the first cohort of the first undergraduate course in the UK which was ‘Accredited’ by the IHVE, graduating in 1965. He taught Environmental Science and Building Services Engineering for over 40 years at Liverpool Polytechnic/Liverpool John Moores University, mainly to students of architecture. He has published a number of
articles/papers and contributed to many seminars/conferences both nationally and  internationally. His current research interests are predominantly related to the development of controlled Natural Ventilation in the 19th Century in Municipal and Institutional Buildings.
