Debbie Hobbs

Sustainability Manager
Legal & General Property

Debbie joined LGP as Sustainability Manager in July 2012, having previously headed up the, worldwide,  sustainability and climate change practise of ENVIRON.  Prior to this Debbie was a regional director at AECOM within the Sustainable Development Group and the Group Environmental Manager at MEPC.

Debbie is a chartered engineer (MCIBSE) with 25 years of experience in the sustainability and carbon management sector.  She is also a board member of the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) and also sits on the following committees: BPF’s sustainably committee, BCO sustainability committee, CIBSE Energy Performance and INREV sustainability committee, having recently managed a task group to re-write the INREV sustainability reporting guidelines.

Being a chartered engineer, she has spent the last 30 years working in sustainability and energy management, with a passion for getting buildings to perform efficiently and effectively.  Recently she developed voluntary Display Environmental Certificates with the National Energy Foundation, to produce operational ratings that can split landlord and tenant data. Enabling landlords to ‘label’ the energy, water and waste performance of their buildings for the first time.

Debbie Hobbs will be speaking at:
