Andrew lead a cross industry collaboration between the RICS/BCIS , B&ES (formerly HVCA) and CIBSE to develop new industry standards for life cycle costing of building maintenance – which resulted in the publication of the RICS new rules of measurement (NRM3) and BS 8544 Guide for life cycle costing of building maintenance during the in use phases.

He has 35 years of experience in Asset Management and has been involved in a wide range of infrastructure and building asset management projects, delivering asset risk based inspections, maintenance planning and development of whole life costing, life cycle planning asset depreciation models; which have adopted industry standards ISO 55001 and BIM PAS 1192 and AIM protocols, for several major client organisations. As technical director of Faithful+Gould he is responsible for delivery of business critical focused maintenance and also life cycle costing services, across public and private sectors – including the application of asset criticality based maintenance strategies – to suit the functional building use.
